Street Freaks is an independent media project currently in production which records the stories of individuals from all walks of life. In exploring the lives of these individuals, it reveals them all sharing one common trend in life, a story to tell.
We aim to be impartial observers in the world around us. While we may present viewpoints from all walks of life, it does not mean that we neccesarily endorse or support any of them. We seek to allow individuals to gain experience through the stories of others so that they may be more aware of the world and the people within that world around them.
Basically what we do is roam around from bar, to event, to beach, to city central and find willing individuals who have stories to tell. We don't believe in 'attack' interviews, seeing 'Jackass' style stunts, or recording individuals fighting; we like to keep everything light hearted and fun. We believe that through recording and sharing the stories of others, it helps to unite everyone involved and realize that they're a little more like their neighbors than they may have believed previously. We do however love to have fun and will always take the opportunity to have some drinks with individuals we're interviewing or tramping through bars and clubs to track down some random individual's best friend with them to get a great story out of it. Maybe one day we'll tell our own stories, we've definitely collected a lot while doing this project and look forward to collecting many more of yours and our own. We view Street Freaks as an infinitely running project and will continue to evolve into the direction we feel is best.
If we're out and about and you see us with a camera, come talk to us, tell us a story, and we'll be happy to buy you a drink. (Or some Milk and Cookies if you don't drink... Seriously)
